Minds to Mend

This poem is based on the black day, the day the Delhi gang rape took place. Lets just pray the perpetrators suffer for eternity and that our brave-heart's soul rests in peace waiting for justice and revenge.

It occurred to me the night the moon hidThe scrubs the sane deserved; darkness ridThat while the tenuous hands we held go colderSidelined hearts that still reach out did beat harderAll the hours the streams went dry, the banks thirstyPurging pockets that chatted while emptyFor those minds that let the limbs sinPay no rose, no rent, let the wild lions inAnd soak them in waters of dirtLet be run by the Old Man of Sea,let it hurtAnd like the sunset; console the grace gone leewardThe state of mind drawled ,come no wind onwardClean slates once born, a disgrace in the endIn the night through the lights and  minds to mend
